About camp
Spend the summer creating, performing, and growing as a musician at the Burbank Music Center Summer Camp. Designed for students ages 4–16, this immersive music experience combines instrument exploration, band collaboration, creativity, and live performance in a fun and supportive environment.
Whether your child is picking up an instrument for the first time or already has experience performing, our camp helps students build confidence, develop musicianship, and make lasting friendships through music.
Enrollment
Flexible weekly enrollment available. Families may register for one week or multiple weeks throughout the summer.
Curriculum
Students in this program will participate in several core classes throughout the week.
Band Class
Students rehearse and perform together in small ensembles, learning how to collaborate as a band through group singing and instrument playing.
Creative Exploration
A space for songwriting, musical games, improvisation, and creative exploration. Students are encouraged to express themselves and experiment with music in new ways.
Musicianship Class
Students build foundational musicianship skills through rhythm training, ear training, music theory basics, and listening exercises.
Performance Skills Class
Students develop confidence on stage while learning microphone technique, stage presence, audience engagement, and live performance preparation.
Rhythm Games Class
Interactive rhythm activities using drums, percussion, call-and-response exercises, and movement-based musical games.
Special Theme Weeks
Throughout the summer, select weeks feature special themes that shape activities, performances, and creative projects.

Spanish Music Week (July 13th - July 17th)

Performance Opportunities
Every Friday, students showcase what they’ve worked on throughout the week during informal performances for family and friends.
Students gain real performance experience through:
- Band performances
- Group singing
- Collaborative performances
- Stage presentation practice
These performances help students build confidence, teamwork, and stage presence in a fun and encouraging setting.

Final Summer Showcase
At the end of the summer, campers participate in a larger showcase performance open to families and the community. The final event celebrates the creativity, growth, and musical achievements of all participating students

Who Can Attend?
The Burbank Music Center Summer Camp welcomes:
- Current BMC students
- Beginner musicians
- Intermediate and advanced students
- Students interested in singing, instruments, songwriting, and performance
No audition required.

Enrollment is open on a weekly basis and spots are limited.
