ANAHIT GEGHAMYAN
Biography
Anahit Geghamyan is an exceptional violin instructor and performer that combines her experiences with the European, Russian-Jewish, and Suzuki schools of music to establish a creative and well-rounded curriculum for her students. She holds graduate degrees in Violin Performance and Education from California State University, Northridge and Komitas Yerevan State Conservatory in Armenia, which allow her to incorporate myriad techniques from classical, folk, jazz, and pop styles. She has worked as both a performer and instructor for over 35 years throughout numerous Symphonic Orchestras across Armenia, Austria, and California and has performed with conductors and musicians such as Loris Tjeknavorian, David Newman, Angelo DiPippo, and others. Her passion projects include arranging for her small string ensemble groups and conducting for choirs and string orchestras.
